Over 40 – February, 2008
I turned 40 on December 25th, 2007. Since then I am making sure I am in one photo a day.
Month three. I work, I play, I snowshoe, and I pick up dog shit. And I get my photo taken by Jeffrey Lewis who we bought back to our house with his band after a show in Eugene. What a bunch of nice folks. Even washed their coffee cups out. I don’t even do that.
Over 40 – January, 2008
I turned 40 on December 25th, 2007. Since then I am making sure I am in one photo a day.
Month numero two in which I get really sick, eat a monster burrito and snow overtakes our little southern Oregon town. As a bonus, see if you can find the day when I find that a 1 terabyte photo archive fails at work and is unrecoverable. That day was awful. Yay!

This month I was in Colorado for my birthday. On my birthday I went and shredded some pow-pow up in Nederland and drank a bunch of vodka and was on hand as my brother-in-law and sister-in-law told their oldest child the truth about Santa Claus. Then it was back to Oregon and then straight down to Mendocino for a great New Years retreat. I almost won at poker. But didn’t.
The East – 1999-2003
This is a random (and I mean random) group of photographs taken in the eastern United States which I do not get to very often.
Indonesia – 1997
In 1997, I worked my ass off at two jobs and saved every penny that I could so that I could take a two month trip through Indonesia with a friend of mine. It was well worth it. I was 29 and it was my first trip overseas. In those two months, we visited six islands; Bali, Lombok, Gili Air, Flores, Komodo and Sumbawa.
Here are some B & W’s…
…and here are a few color slides…
Reunion – 1995
During my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary, we had a little family reunion in Twin Falls, Idaho.
The West – 1986-2004
This is a collection of street shots from early on to the kinda present. Most were shot with a Voigtlander Bess-R rangefinder. I really like the camera and the lenses are great too. I need to pull it out again…
Music on the Halfshell
The last few summers I have been taking photos at our free Music on the Halfshell concert series. The shop where I work is a major sponsor and we use the images for posters and media as well as for the website (which I deigned and built, thank you very much).
