1949 International Short School Bus

9 Jan 2009, 3:37pm

International School Bus

Craigslist, Roseburg – 1949 INTERNATIONAL SHORT SCHOOL BUS, 147″ wheelbase(VERY SHORT)It has a chevy 348 motor,The body is VERY GOOD,The hole bus is nice,Was a motor home in the 70s, I took all the stuf out and found some old (BUT NICE)school bus seats, that will go with the bus,This would make a neat hot rod or a cool family camper,I bought it to make a street rod,I can’t get it in my shop, I need it out of my driveway,I may take a trade, I need the room more than the $$$.I can only put 4 picts on CL, But i can send you lots more.$3,300

I want it I want it I want it! $3,300!?! Someone buy this for me right now! Don’t let this fall into the hands of someone who wouldn’t love her the way I would. Heck, just buy it and take me for a camping trip in it, will ya?

Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison

Can’t find too much bio info on their site but Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison do create some beautifully surrealistic photography. Really great stuff without being overly creepy.

The Book Cover Archive

The Book Cover Archive

Lots of inspiration to be found over at The Book Cover Archive. Looks pretty new with only about 800 covers at the time of this writing. It actually should be called the MODERN Book Cover Archive as there are no books before 1981. Hardly an archive but still pretty good.

OMG!!! A whole year of this ‘Over 40’ thang. And now I am 41! Amazing. That was a bunch of fun I must say.

So…lets seee…what happened in December? Well, Christmas/My B-Day was pretty mellow. Did yard work and such. Three trips to the dump even. Got a bit of snow. Went to Arcata for New Years which was really wonderful. (I really miss my friends down there, I really do.) I started a beard thang. Yikes! I worked. I started watching 1) Deadwood, 2) The Wire, 3) Monk, 4) and Mad Men. All very good especially Deadwood and the Wire. I have no TV but DVDs are all I need.

Happy 2009 everyone! I’ll keep shooting if you will keep start commenting!

Oooooh! This looks quite good. Quite the flashy website, too, that has a bunch of hidden stuff worth rooting around for. If you got some time, go poke around.

It is directed by  Neil Gaiman who also directed The Nightmare Before Christmas. I will be seeing this in the theater fo’ sho’.

The creators also are behind a pretty bitchin’ viral marketing campaign. They made and sent out fifty individual customized boxes filled with things from the movie and sent them to various blogs. Here are some links to a some of the lucky  bloggers and their respective posts about receiving their treasure:

emmyymme, tomopop, Darkmatters, Toycutter, Kissthelibrarian, fashion-pirahna, stainlesssteeldroppings

Pretty cool viral marketing if you ask me.
